The Quince pages and the feedback form
This note covers the Quince pages on quince.marcoll.de: the manual, the About page and the beta page. The full privacy statement for the whole site, and the legal notice, are on marcoll.de.
These Pages
The pages set no cookies and contain no tracking or analytics. Like any web server, the server keeps log files of requests (including your IP address), as the privacy statement on marcoll.de describes.
The pages load their heading font from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request, with your IP address, to Google’s servers. See Google’s privacy policy.
Feedback
Feedback from Quince (Help ▸ Send Feedback…) and from the beta page goes through a form hosted by Tally (tally.so); see Tally’s privacy policy. Tally stores your answers and sends them to quince@marcoll.de; they are used only to improve Quince.
When you open the form from Quince, it already holds three things about your setup: Quince’s version, your macOS version and your Mac’s model (such as “Mac14,9”). Nothing else about you or your computer is sent, and nothing is sent until you submit the form yourself. Your email address is optional: give it only if we may ask you a question about your report.
